Itinerary for Day 2: Colosseum. >> Pantheon >> Piazza Navona >> Spanish Steps >> Trevi Fountain
Last Destination of the day, Trevi Fountain( Fontana di Trevi) . Although i knew beforehand that it has been closed for restoration , we still decided to go take a look. If you are planning your itinerary for your trip to Rome, you are way luckier than i am because it have reopened in 03 November 2015 ( we visited in Sep last year) after 17 months.
A famous tradition of the Fountain is for people to toss a coin over their shoulder into the Trevi's waters, which—legend has it—ensures a return to the city for visitors. All the water in the fountain is drained out but to keep the tradition going , a basin was placed in front of the fountain .
I am pretty disappointed that it was not open, so we just took a few pictures and left. Hopefully, i will return to Rome someday to have a glimpse of this majestic fountain. Here are some of the photos of the fountain that i took.
This wraps up my 2nd day itinerary. Watch this space as i share my 3rd day travel snippets with you! We will be going to the Vantican City
