Stitch free crochet pattern

It's been a long time since i written a pattern. 

I'm gonna share a Stitch free crochet pattern with you guys today. 

 

Completed stitch is approximately 10cm seated. 

 

Please note that the type of yarn used and the tension may cause variation in size. We will be working in continuous round in this project unless otherwise stated.

 

Materials:

 

3.5mm crochet hook

Stuff Filling

Yarn needle

Yarn: 

Pink, Black

Dark blue , ash blue, light blue

 

 

Abbreviations (in U.S crochet terms)

 

 

Sc      -  Single crochet

Hdc    -  Half Double Crochet

Ch     -  Chain

St      -  Stitch

Rep   -  Repeat

Sl      -  Slipstitch

Inc    -  Increase (2 sc in same stitch)

Dec   -  Decrease (1sc over 2 stitches)

 

1. Head & Body

Head [ Ash Blue Yarn]

R1:        Sc 10 in magic ring.  (10 sts)

R2:       Inc around. (20 sts)

R3:       [1 sc, Inc], Rep 9 times. (30 sts)

R4:       [1 sc in 5 St, Inc], Rep 4 times. (35 sts)

R5:       [1 sc in 6 St, Inc], Rep 4 times. (40 sts)

R6-12:    Sc around (40 sts)

Change to light Blue Yarn

R13-15:   Sc around (40 sts)

R16:      [1 sc in 6 St, Dec], Rep 4 times. (35 sts)

R17:      [1 sc in 5 St, Dec], Rep 4 times. (30 sts)

R18:      [1 sc, Dec], Rep 9 times. (20 sts)

R19:      Dec around. (10 sts)

Body

  • ^While working on Ash Blue >> Carry light Blue yarn and vice versa

R20:     Inc in next 4 St, Change to Ash Blue Yarn^, Inc in next 6 St (20 sts)

R21:      Change to Light Blue Yarn^ >>  [1 sc, Inc], Rep 3 times

          Change to Ash Blue Yarn^   >>   [1 sc, Inc], Rep 5 times (30 sts)

R22-26:  Change to Light Blue Yarn^ >>  1 sc in 12 St

          Change to Ash Blue Yarn^   >>  1 sc in 18 St (30 sts)

R27     :Continue Ash Blue Yarn^      >> 1 sc

          Change to Light Blue Yarn^  >> 1 sc in 10 St

          Change to Ash Blue Yarn^   >> 1 sc in 19 St (30 sts)

R28     :Change to Light Blue Yarn^  >> Dec in next 5 St

          Change to Ash Blue Yarn^   >> Dec in next 10 St (15 sts)

Stuff an appropriate amount of stuff filling.

Close the gap, Weave tail through last round and secure with a knot 

 

2. Legs - Make 2 [Ash Blue Yarn]

R1:          10 sc in magic ring.  (10 sts)

R2:         [1 sc, Inc], Rep 4 times. (15 sts)

R3-5:       Sc around. (15 sts)

R6:         [1 sc, Dec], Rep 4 times. (10 sts)

R7-9:      Sc around. (10 sts)

Stuff an appropriate amount of stuff filling.

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing

 

3. Hands- Make 2  [ Ash Blue Yarn]

R1:          10 sc in magic ring.  (10 sts)

R2-7:      Sc around. (10 sts)

Stuff an appropriate amount of stuff filling.

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

 

4. Ears – Make 2 [ Ash Blue Yarn]

R1:          10 sc in magic ring.  (10 sts)

  • ^While working on Ash Blue yarn >> Carry pink and vice versa

R2:        Inc in next 6 St, Change to pink Yarn^, Inc in next 4 St (20 sts)

R3-12:    Change to Ash Blue Yarn^ >> 1 sc in 12 St

          Change to pink Yarn^         >> 1 sc in 8 St (20 sts)

R13:      Change to Ash Blue Yarn^ >> Dec in 6 St

           Change to pink Yarn^         >> Dec in 4 St (20 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

 

5. Nose[Dark Blue Yarn]

R1:          10 sc in magic ring.  (10 sts)

R2:         [1 sc, Inc], Rep 4 times. (15 sts)

R3-4:      Sc around. (15 sts)

R5:         [1 sc, Dec], Rep 4 times. (10 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

 

6. Eyes

Part a [Light blue yarn]

R1:       10 sc in magic ring.  (10 sts)

R2:       Inc in next 9 St, Hdc Inc in next St (20 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

Part b [black yarn]

R1:       8 sc  & 1 Hdc in magic ring.  (9 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

 

Assembly

 

  • Position the hands and legs and sew them securely on the body

  • Position the ears on side and nose in the middle of the head and sew them securely on the head

  • Sewing eyes:

    • Position part a of the eyes on the head (Hdc side pointing down) and sew

    • Position Part b of the eyes on part a (Hdc side pointing down) and Sew

    • “Brighten” the eyes by sewing white yarn on part b of eyes

 

Using the pictures as a reference, add in the detail for stitch

  • Sew the paw print on the leg with dark blue yarn

 

  • Use dark blue yarn, sew the details on the top of the ear and the hands

 

5. Plant hair onto the head and it’s done!
