Free crochet pattern : PokeBall


Are you struck by the Pokemon Go fever too??

With a Poke ball in hand ,you can catch Em all!

I'm going to share with you guys the Poke ball Crochet pattern. It's relatively easy to make and won't take up too much time. You can make one while taking a break from your Poke Hunt.

Let's get started!

We will be working in continuous round in this project unless otherwise stated.

Measurement : 6cm in Diameter

Please note that the type of yarn used and the tension may cause variation in size.

Materials:

3 mm crochet hook

Stuff Filling

Yarn:

Red, white, black

Yarn needle

Bead chain/Keyring (Optional)

Abbreviations (in U.S crochet terms)

Sc - Single crochet

Ch - Chain

St - Stitch

Rep - Repeat

Sl - Slipstitch

Inc - Increase (2 sc in same stitch)

Dec - Decrease (1 sc over 2 stitches)

PokeBall

Start with Red Yarn

R1 : Sc 10 in magic ring. (10 sts)

R2 : Inc around. (20 sts)

R3 : [1 sc, Inc], Rep 9 times. (30 sts)

R4-8 : Sc around (30 sts)

Change to Black Yarn

R9 : Sc around (30 sts)

Change to White Yarn

R10-16 : Sc around (30 sts)

R17 : [1 sc, Dec], Rep 9 times. (20 sts)

R18 : Dec around. (10 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

Button

Start with white Yarn

R1 : 10 Sc in magic ring. (10 sts)

Change to Black Yarn

R2 : Sc around. (10 sts)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.

Assembly

1. Stuff an appropriate amount of stuff filling into the Pokeball

Close the gap, Weave tail through last round of Pokeball and secure with a knot

2. Position the button in the middle of the ball near the black stripe and sew securely.

Your Pokeball is done!

You may attach a bead chain or keyring to the Pokeball and bring it along during your Pokehunt.
